Brian Connors

Brian is partner at Due East Advisors and a seasoned economic developer, business advisor, and entrepreneur. As the State of Michigan’s chief advisor for East Asia and Southeast Asia, Brian has coordinated ten Governor’s trade and investment missions, establishing partnerships with corporations, governments, and industry groups. His work to attract foreign direct investment has resulted in more than $4.5 billion in economic impact in Michigan.
Brian holds a B.A. in Asian Studies from Williams College and a Master of Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School.
Courtney Henderson
PARTNER
Courtney is partner at Due East Advisors and our team’s boundlessly creative leader of strategy and operations. Courtney has supported six Governor’s trade and investment missions. Previously, Courtney worked in Washington, D.C. at the nation’s largest biofuels trade association.
Courtney received her B.A. from the University of Notre Dame and an M.A. in Asian Studies from the University of Michigan. Previously, she lived and worked in Shenzhen and studied at Fu Jen University in Taipei.

Crystal represents Due East Advisors in Shanghai. She has more than a decade of experience working as an international trade and investment consultant for U.S. companies interested in doing business in China. She has a B.A. in Spanish from Shanghai International Studies University and an M.S. in Commerce from the University of Virginia.

Lindsey holds an M.A. in Asian Studies and a Master of Public Policy from the University of Michigan, where she focused on international relations at the state and local level. She earned her B.A. from the University of Colorado Boulder.

KC represents Due East Advisors in Taipei. He is a successful entrepreneur who has founded two companies making medical devices for neuroscience research. KC received his bachelor’s in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan, his master’s in biomedical engineering from the University of Michigan, and his MBA from both Columbia University and London Business School.

John is a strategic advisor for Due East Advisors in Tokyo. John has decades of experience working in the Japanese automotive and tech industries, where he has held numerous executive positions. He has simultaneously held leadership positions at influential Japanese industry and community organizations. John received his B.A. in Japanese from Brigham Young University and is a fluent speaker of Japanese.
